Why we use it
To give you access to the modules, track your progress, issue your invoices, certificates and course notes, allow certificates to be verified, meet our tax obligations and keep the website secure. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who may have access
- Stripe processes payments. Its servers may be located outside Quebec, notably in the United States; your information is then subject to local laws.
- Our web host stores the website and its database.
- Anyone holding a certificate code can see, on the verification page, the participant’s name, the module, its duration and the date of completion.
- Your employer, when it purchased your access, may be informed that you passed and receive a copy of your certificate.
Retention
Invoices are kept for six years after the end of the year concerned, as required by tax laws. Certificates and results are kept as long as your account exists, so that you can obtain copies and their authenticity remains verifiable. You may ask for your account to be closed at any time; only the data that the law requires us to keep is then retained.
Cookies
The website uses a single cookie, needed to keep you signed in. It uses no advertising cookies or audience measurement tools.
Your rights
You may request access to your information, its correction or deletion, and withdraw your consent, by writing to the person named above. We reply within 30 days. You may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Security
The website runs exclusively over HTTPS, passwords are encrypted and access to the administration area is limited to the trainer. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information.
